Compliance Management

What does compliance cost, and what would a failure cost?

September 27, 2026 ยท Length 1:05

The cost of compliance is built from recorded work, like control tests, fixes and training, priced at rates you set, and marked system-calculated until approved. On the risk side, you pick a method for each assessment and get a dollar range for the exposure, flagged for validation until a person approves it. The roll-up shows exposure before controls, and after crediting how well they work, by standard and plan. Both are in dollars, so they can be weighed together.
For chief compliance officers, CFOs and CIOs who need two answers when they defend the compliance budget: what compliance costs and what a failure could cost.
Good to know: Both figures are estimates that depend on the rates and inputs your team enters. A control with no effectiveness assessed earns no credit.
